On The Mark Learning's trainers have been providing professional development activities to teachers for well over 25 years and have operated both in the UK and Internationally.
The company delivers pedagogical support across all subjects and phases, and in both the state and independent sectors. It also covers general issues such as behaviour management, promotion of positive attitudes and habits (growth mindset, grit and resilience) assertiveness, and emotional intelligence. In addition, On The Mark Learning has a subject specialism in physical education.
Lead Consultant, Mark Salter, is very much a ‘hands on’ practitioner who focuses on realistic and effective solutions.
Mark worked for over 20 years as a Physical Education Teacher in Nottinghamshire. This included leading three Secondary Departments and as part of a Senior Management Team. For much of this time he led training and CPD activities for the Advisory and Inspection Service (AIS) across all educational phases, ultimately joining the AIS as a Teaching and Learning Consultant in 2003 working in all subjects.
Since leaving full time teaching, Mark has worked as a Local Authority Consultant and then as an Independent Trainer and Consultant both in education and in business. He has delivered across England, and in Wales and Scotland. He has also operated International Associate for Creative Education in Malta and France, and for Dragonfly Training in Turkey and Jersey.
Mark is also an Osiris Education Outstanding Intervention Licensed Trainer, a Validated British Council Core Skills Trainer, and has been a temporary Physical Education Adviser to the Cooperative Academy Trust.
Depending on your specific requirements, On The Mark Learning has a network of education professionals to draw upon to ensure your specific development needs are met.
