Host Your Own Course

The training conducted by Mark Salter was informative and interactive. He provided innovative ideas that I have now started to implement in GCSE PE lessons and the response from students has been extremely positive. Mark provided ideas that required little planning but were extremely effective and he has definitely "freshened up" my teaching in the classroom.

Jenny Canty, Head of PE, Redden Court School - Hosting for the Havering Borough PE and Sport Collective

Hosting your own course, whether just for your school or by acting as a hub for schools in your area, can prove more cost effective than sending delegates to an open event. Indeed, if you are prepared to act as a host school and invite other colleagues to your venue, On The Mark Learning can often waive course fees for your atttendees.

All our courses can be run on a 'host your own' basis. Alternatively, On The Mark Learning can structure a training day to meet your specific needs.

On The Mark associates can also deliver twilight sessions, contribute within network and forum meetings, and provide focused based workshops.

Evaluations show that both open courses and In-house delivery always hit the mark.

Kate Parker-Randall, Headteacher, Bridlington School

Mark delivered exactly what we asked for: a range of extremely usable differentiation strategies for both more able and for pupils with SEND students. The session was interactive, and, staff from NQTs to experienced teachers, all gained a fresh insight into how to engage students whilst maximising challenge and progress. We were provided with a whole range of practical strategies that we will be able to cherry pick from. The hands on approach meant that all staff were fully engaged throughout.

Amanda Ilhan, Deputy Headteacher, The British International School, Istanbul:

Mark was just what we needed. He embedded theory of how we can improve from good to great teachers, using really practical, new ideas for the teachers to try out in their classrooms. He was a pleasure to work with.
